At the burn pile in Janesville

Galena Creek Park, Reno Nevada, March 17th, 2018

In the snowy forest, taking pictures.

During my stay at the luxurious Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of exploring their Art Gallery, where they were hosting an exhibition of Claude Monet's Hay Stacks series. The vibrant purples, yellows, and blues captivated me like nothing I had ever seen before.

That moment, fifteen years ago, ignited my passion for art. Since then, I've been diligently teaching myself through books and videos, although some sources have led me astray.

Currently, I'm immersed in watercolor painting, a medium I find particularly advantageous. I am also in the middle of painting a Van Gogh. I've been studying the works of master watercolor painters like Chien Chung Wei and Joseph Zbukvic, who have dedicated over forty years each to their craft. If it's good enough for them, why switch mediums?

Now retired from the business world, I can devote all my time and energy to my passions: art, guitar, piano, music recording, flight simulation, sim racing, programming, and whatever new hobby captures my interest. I thrive on keeping busy.

Thank you for visiting my website! Please come back often as I regularly update my blog with my latest creations.
