At the burn pile in Janesville

Galena Creek Park, Reno Nevada, March 17th, 2018

In the snowy forest, taking pictures.

While staying at the Bellagio Luxury Resort in Las Vegas I visited their Art Gallery. They were exhibiting a showing of Claude Monet's Hay Stacks series. I was hooked. The purples, yellows, and blues. I had never seen anything like "this" before.

This was already 15 years ago that I got the art bug. I have been actively teaching myself art using books and videos as my source of information. Some of it has been very good and some of it has led me a stray.

Currently, I am painting using watercolors and I am fairly certain I will stay with this medium. It really does have its advantages. Lately, I have been looking at the "Master" WC painters and they can paint it all. Why go to a different medium? Chien Chung Wei and Joseph Zbukvic have wonderful paintings that I would love to paint. They have been at it for over forty years, each. If it is good enough for them then shouldn't I follow their lead?

Now that I am finally retired from the business world I can put all of my focus into my love of Art, Guitar, Piano, Flight Simulation, Sim Racing, Quilting, Programming, and whatever other new hobby I can dream up. I like staying busy.

Thanks for stopping by my website! And, please visit more often as I update my blog pages, quilts and artwork!
