In the snowy forest, taking pictures.
During my stay at the luxurious Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, I had the incredible opportunity to explore their Art Gallery, which was hosting an exhibition of Claude Monet's Haystacks series. The vibrant purples, yellows, and blues mesmerized me in a way I had never experienced before.
That unforgettable moment, fifteen years ago, sparked my passion for art. Since then, I’ve been teaching myself through books and videos—though not all sources have been equally helpful!
These days, I’m focused on watercolor painting, a medium I find both challenging and rewarding. I’m also working on a Van Gogh-inspired piece. To refine my craft, I’ve been studying master watercolorists like Chien Chung Wei and Joseph Zbukvic, who each have over forty years of experience. If watercolor is good enough for them, why switch?
Now retired from the business world, I dedicate my time and energy to the things I love: art, guitar, piano, music recording, flight simulation, sim racing, programming, and whatever new passion catches my interest. Staying busy fuels me.
