The last time I played in a band was in 2004. WoW! That long ago? I found my old Alter Ego song list that I created for the band and on it it says 2004. O.M.G.
This afternoon I was practicing too some old music (Ritchie Blackmore's, Rainbow) and the kid still has it! I was hanging with the "Man in Black" the whole time. I started playing to their complete song list and I was keeping up no problem! I was shocked. Maybe riding the bike is helping to strengthen my hands and fingers again and it is becoming easier to play? I am astounded! Songs that I have not played for years were somewhat easy to play along with. Rainbow's music (Blackmore) is difficult to play and play cleanly. But, I can still do it and am excited!
Now that I have more time on my hands, I should start playing live gigs and setting goals.
I loved playing live and dancing with the crowd. It is the most fun I have ever had playing for others while they dance and have a great time with the band. I was born to play live. I know that and feel it. I am at my happiest when I am playing. Done deal. :)
