A Little Bit, Each and Every Day!

When I wake up in the morning, that’s when I have the most energy I'll have all day. So, what better time to throw some colors on the canvas? Yes, throw. Van Gogh’s approach is all about having complete confidence in your brush strokes. Just go for it! If you hesitate, the strokes end up looking overworked and timid. He painted boldly, unafraid, and with conviction—even when he was struggling mentally. In his art, he commanded the brush; in his life, he was often lost and confused.

Today’s “throws” focused on the bales of hay and grass beneath the cypress trees. While I was there, I reworked the edges of the main cypress and lightened the color on all the trees to help them stand out more. Initially, the cypresses were too dark and didn’t have the right value. Time to play something that really cooks (Back to the Future, style)!

I had a fantastic dinner out last night with Bob. He’s such a diverse and caring person. What do you expect from someone who was an ICU RN for twenty-five years and adored by all the women nurses on the floor? He’s one of the good ones!
