Jolenta and Piotr like it!

Jola finally had a chance to stop by and see my latest paintings—and she was blown away! Abstract paintings FTW!

She was especially surprised by the depth created by the toned canvas and how it interacts with the layers of paint built on top of it. After narrowing it down to two pieces, she ultimately chose the one below. I wasn’t surprised—the way the yellow "orb" emerges from the surrounding green gives the impression of the sun breaking through layers of color. When she brought it home, Piotr’s reaction was: *"A huge explosion of plastic that blocked out the sun!"* I can see why he thought that!

It was an honor to give her my work. She’s done so much to support me over the past year, and it felt good to give something back. It’s the little things that build strong relationships and make life meaningful.

Today, while coding and explaining the new system at work, I felt a deep sense of pride that I haven’t experienced since leaving my job five years ago. Helping others where I can gives me a renewed sense of purpose. Sure, I may not have a partner to share my personal life with right now, but I’m surrounded by incredible friends who always have my back. They are my greatest advocates and never hesitate to drop what they’re doing to help me. "That" is what true friendship is all about. 💜
