We went live with Version 2.0 yesterday (plus a video)!

Last month was a real challenge for me. Spending the entire month training all the volunteers at work really took its toll. Staying upbeat and positive every day, especially while fielding negative comments or hearing constant complaining, wore me down quickly. I’ll admit, I’m not getting any younger, and having to constantly adapt and learn new things felt especially frustrating for most of the "older" users.
To help with this, I’ve released a step-by-step YouTube video for the Food Pantry software that users can watch and follow along with. If volunteers review the video before their monthly shifts, I hope it will help them feel more prepared and confident when they arrive. That’s the goal, at least. I really hope it proves helpful and empowers everyone to be more proficient and successful. So far, the "private-unlisted" Youtube video has been watched by 65 volunteers, so that makes me happy that they are watching and learning. This morning I got an email from the pantry-window supervisor and she thanked me for "giving it my all". It feels so nice to be appreciated by others - don't you think? Over the next week or two, I will put together a more polished video than the one I created yesterday. Maybe I can use a robotic speech tool to play the part of someone standing at the window answering my questions? Hmmm, I'll give that some thought!
