I never talk politics, so this is a first for me.

If you don’t think Barack Obama (Mr. President) is cool, I honestly don’t know what to tell you. Party labels aside, and I’m not here to argue politics, the guy "is" cool.
We were lucky to have him for eight years because he modeled something I think matters: basic dignity. The way he carried himself, the way he spoke, the way he treated people, even when he was taking heat, set a standard for how a president should behave.
Did he accomplish everything he could have? Probably not. Few presidents do. But I still respect him, and I still like him. He comes across as someone who genuinely cares. Not in a rehearsed, “let me sell you something” way, but in a human way.
And honestly, that kind of character matters to me more than people want to admit.
It also reminds me of the best parts of Lincoln’s story. Lincoln didn’t come from money, and he didn’t strike me as someone driven by it. He came up the hard way and still carried a deep seriousness about the country and about people. Obama, to me, has that same grounded quality: calm, steady, thoughtful, and not obsessed with flash or profit.
I think history is going to look back on Barack Obama and smile.
The reason I’m bringing this up tonight is because of an article I just read on CNN (a news outlet I don’t usually go out of my way for). Here’s the article:
From CNN: "Former US President Barack Obama has clarified that the chances Earth has been visited by aliens is "low" after comments he made about extra-terrestrial species caught attention online.
"They're real but I haven't seen them," he told American podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen during an interview published on Saturday.
"They're not being kept in Area 51. There's no underground facility unless there's this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States," he added.
Obama has since said his comments were made in line with "the spirit of the speed round" of questions, adding that statistically the chances are that life is out there but he saw "no evidence" while president."

Honestly, I want to be like him when I grow up! Am I older? (I am: 1 year and almost 7 months older than him!)
