Who says it "has" to be water color paints?

I'm sitting here watching just another landscape painting on YouTube and... How do you paint clouds if you can't "paint the clouds"? The clouds are white and the paper is white. Okay, here's my point.
We have white gouache available to us, right? We may even have some other white acrylic/watercolor substitute that we use for hight-lights, right? Well dang nabbit, start painting the clouds and "lace" the sky in around the painted clouds.
Here is a quickie I made in less than five minutes. The photo is trash but the concept is sound. Give me your thoughts!

I used a 1/2 inch straight brush instead of a round brush. It allowed me to get rounded edges and straight edges easily. I noticed Peter Sheeler was using his straight edge paint brush and he is the Master. Always follow his lead!
